A few days ago I attended my first Home Concert.. a Deborah & Willy Summerware Party. I had heard of such a concept and it intrigued me. I produce & present a program called 'A Little Left of Centre' on community radio in the Barossa Valley -89.1 Triple Bfm.. and am a witness to so many bands/artists seeking an audience.. a gig & sales of their cd's. I intend to encourage this concept.
What an innovative way to move those cd's.
It was intimate & personal but mostly entertaining even if it was only a one hour visit.

I'd rather a short intimate gig and a momento cd to take away.. than a long drive to an overcrowded room full of strangers and no cd.

Thankyou Deborah & Willy.
You're Live performance at Helps rd Institute Adelaide will be going to air tomorrow Dec 15th
and your copy will be in the mail soon enough. We Loved it .

I spoke to a lot of the Neighbours at a party last week , and they reckon that Deborah and the band playing on my deck would be a fantastic idea. (The deck is two storeys high on the front of our elevated house and it faces the street. It is 'Troppo'Architecturally trendy and by design it would have a good sound.) We worked out that the fans can be in the front yard or on the street. We will get the street closed off for the night as our Chief Minister Clare Martin lives in the street, and she will be coming, so closing the street isnt a big issue.
We also decided that the event should be videod, and it will sell like hot cakes. We also came to the conclusion that it will become one of those special, quirky moments in music history like the 'Nirvana unplugged' MTV video. We thought it should be called 'Deborah Conway over the Narrows' which is not that catchy, but it is the name of our suburb, and by that time we were starting to get a bit shickered. At that party I discovered yet more closet DC fans. They seem to be everywhere.
So its all organised then!

If deborah and willy would jump a train to Camperdown (southwest Vic.) we'll guarentee them the most appreciative house party they've seen!
